Spirit of Millie Jeffrey Award Dinner
In 2008 the Caucus held their annual award and fundraising dinner in honor of the life of Mrs. Mildred “Millie” Jeffrey. They also wanted to acknowledge and support the new Camp Millie Progressive Grassroots Training Organization. The following progressive activists were recognized with the Millie Jeffrey award, "reflecting their commitment and work for economic and social justice":
The 2008 Spirit of Millie Jeffrey Awards were given to:
■ Rosa Holliday, Bay City, Michigan Democratic Party; Latoya's Health Education Training Center
■ Ann Kerwin, Detroit, active member of the Sierra Club (She has worked quietly beside her spouse Mike Kerwin for 53 years on numerous Democratic activities).
■ Christy McGillvry, Mt Clemens, "daughter of our very own Mike McGillvry", Senior Organizer with Clean Water Action.
The 2009 Spirit of Millie Jeffrey Awards were given to:
■ Jim Kruer, Co-chair, Justice Caucus
■ Kathleen Straus, President, Michigan Board of Education
■ Mark E. Miller, Justice Caucus Board Member
■ State Rep. Fred Durhall, Justice Caucus Board Member
The 2010 Spirit of Millie Jeffrey Awards were given to:
■ Elizabeth Bunn, secretary-treasurer of the UAW
■ Maryion T. Lee
■ Ethel Schwartz
■ Ron Scott
■ Sarah Juster, Ann Arbor high school student "who has shown exceptional leadership in the fight against genocide and to provide relief to the refugees of Darfur." (Millie Jeffrey Rising Star Award)

2010 Michigan Democratic Party Convention
The Caucus presented Governor Jennifer Granholm with the "Spirit of Millie Award" honoring her contribution to Michigan's judiciary via judicial appointments. Granholm also delivered a speech at the convention on the subject of "My vision of justice".
Building a New Coalition
In 2011, the Caucus held a meeting with the topic, “Building a New, Winning, Progressive Democratic Coalition in Michigan”. The speakers included:
